Bulldogs Breeze Past East Georgia State College in Convincing Doubleheader Sweep

Georgia Military College delivered a dominant performance, sweeping East Georgia State College in a decisive doubleheader. The Bulldogs opened the day with a 12–5 victory before overwhelming the Bobcats 18–1 in game two, showcasing offensive depth, timely hitting, and steady pitching throughout the day.

In the opener, Georgia Military College set the tone early by scoring two runs in the top of the first inning, highlighted by Ana Land's run-scoring double. The Bulldogs broke the game open in the third inning, plating five runs on a series of timely hits, including singles by Jayna Kearson, Claire Clements, and Kayleigh Hester, along with doubles from Sophia Boutelle and Land. East Georgia State College answered with solo home runs in the sixth and seventh innings, but the Bulldogs maintained control throughout the contest.

Claire Clements anchored the effort in the circle, striking out two while allowing five runs on ten hits over seven innings. Georgia Military College finished with eleven hits, led by Land's three-for-four performance at the plate. Kearson, Bridger, Boutelle, and Land each drove in two runs, while the Bulldogs were sharp defensively, playing error-free softball.

Game two was all Georgia Military College from the outset, as the Bulldogs surged ahead with a seven-run first inning fueled by aggressive baserunning and timely hitting. Jayna Kearson and Kayleigh Hester each delivered run-scoring singles, Sophia Boutelle drove in two runs with a base hit, and Mackenzi Trull added an RBI single before an error brought home two more runs. The Bulldogs continued to apply pressure with home runs by Ana Land and Kayleigh Hester in the second inning, then put the game out of reach with a six-run fourth inning.

Trull led the offense in the nightcap, driving in four runs on three hits, including a two-run home run to center field in the fifth inning. Kearson, Land, and Hester each collected three hits as Georgia Military College tallied seventeen hits overall. Meredith Durden earned the win in the circle, allowing just one run on five hits over five innings.

The Bulldogs now turn their attention to Andrew College on March 30, looking to build on their momentum and climb into the top spot in the conference.
