Final‑Round Surge Fuels Bulldogs’ Third‑Place Finish

The Bulldogs wrapped up the three‑round tournament with a strong finish, placing third overall behind a total team effort and an exceptional final round from Gavin Gignilliat.

Gignilliat turned in one of the best rounds of the entire event on the final day, shooting a one‑under‑par 71 to climb the leaderboard and lead the Bulldogs down the stretch. He finished the tournament at seven‑over‑par after rounds of 76, 76, and 71. His last round featured three birdies and steady, composed play when it mattered most.

Riley Campbell put together an impressive tournament of his own, showing steady improvement each round. After opening with an 80, Campbell bounced back with a 75 in the second round and closed with a 73 on Tuesday. He finished the event at twelve‑over‑par, and his strong final round played a key role in securing the Bulldogs' top‑three finish.

Levi Gregg delivered consistent scores throughout the week, carding rounds of 79, 77, and 77 to finish tied for 29th at seventeen‑over‑par. His ability to avoid big mistakes and maintain steady play helped keep the Bulldogs in contention.

Hayden Hardy also contributed to the team's effort, opening with back‑to‑back rounds of 76 before an 81 in the final round. He finished the tournament tied for 29th at seventeen‑over‑par.

Tripp Dye rounded out the team scoring and showed resiliency after a tough second round. Following scores of 79 and 84, Dye responded with a solid 75 in the final round to finish the event at twenty‑two‑over‑par.

Competing as an individual, Cameron Drew finished 57th after posting rounds of 78, 81, and 84.

The Bulldogs will take a brief break before turning their focus to the GCAA Championship, where they will look to defend their title on April 14 at Southern Landings Golf Club.
