GMC Rolls Past USC Salkehatchie with Back‑to‑Back Shutouts.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga — Georgia Military College delivered two dominant, complete-team efforts on Thursday, shutting out the USC Salkehatchie Indians 15–0 and 10–0 in a doubleheader highlighted by powerful hitting, sharp pitching, and clean defensive play.

GMC wasted no time setting the tone in Game One. Jayna Kearson opened the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning, and the Bulldogs never eased off the gas. Clements added a three‑run blast, while Olivia Bridger, Sophia Boutelle, Kayleigh Hester, Ana Land, Kaiden Bradford, and Adelyn Turner all contributed timely hits as GMC strung together a pair of seven‑run innings.
On the mound, Clements was in full control—striking out eight, allowing just two hits, and leading a defense that played error‑free behind her.

The Bulldogs carried that energy right into Game Two. Land and Clements drove in early runs before Kearson crushed her second home run of the afternoon, this time to straightaway center. Kylee Keck followed with a solo shot, and Boutelle put the game out of reach with a three‑run homer in the sixth. Bridger sparked the offense with both her bat and her speed, turning in multiple hits and swiping two bases. In the circle, Meredith Durden and Jada Vickers combined to scatter five hits over six shutout innings, keeping USC Salkehatchie off balance throughout.

It was a true all‑around showcase for the Bulldogs—power at the plate, aggressive baserunning, dominant pitching, and flawless defense from start to finish.

GMC will look to keep its momentum rolling when they host GCAA rival Georgia Highlands at Couch Field on Tuesday, March 24, with first pitch set for 5:00 PM.
