Milledgeville, Ga. – The Georgia Military College Men's Golf team opened its 2026 spring season with an impressive performance at the Coastal Georgia Invitational, finishing 14th overall and earning recognition as the top‑ranked NJCAA program in the field.
The Bulldogs were led by Gavin Gignilliat (Milledgeville, Ga.), who posted a three‑round total of 235, highlighted by a team‑low 74 in the final round. His strong finish helped anchor GMC's season‑opening effort.
GMC displayed balanced scoring throughout the lineup, with Tripp Dye (Jefferson, Ga.) carding a 236, Riley Campbell (Chatsworth, Ga.) shooting 237, and Hayden Hardy (Perry, Ga.) adding a 240. Levi Gregg (Grovetown, Ga.) rounded out the scoring with a 241.
The team's overall total of 939 provides a solid foundation heading into the remainder of the spring campaign. The Bulldogs remain committed to building consistency and posting more sub‑300 team rounds as the season progresses.
On the women's side, Marissa Holder (Jefferson, Ga.) delivered a standout performance, shooting 77–76 (153) to finish 17th in a highly competitive field featuring multiple four‑year programs. Freshman Karlie Hoffman (Gray, Ga.) posted a 202 in her first collegiate event, gaining valuable experience early in her career.
Next, the GMC Men's team return home to host the Visit Milledgeville Invitational, scheduled for March 2–3 at The Club at Lake Sinclair. The event will welcome collegiate programs from across the region, giving the Bulldogs a key home‑course opportunity.
The GMC Women's team will travel for their next competition at the 2026 Golden Tiger Collegiate, hosted by Brenau University.
